Warnings

  • For those underage, please obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian before submitting.
  • If consent from a parent or legal guardian has not been obtained and a dispute occurs between the entrant and a third party, the contest host cannot be held liable.

Entry Terms & Conditions

Crypton Future Media, INC. (our company, we) is looking for entries for the “Hatsune Miku Happy 16th Birthday Project #MikuChallenge Supported by YouTube Shorts” (this project). Participants in this project must read and agree to these terms and conditions before submitting an entry.

  1. Project Entry
    • A Google account and a YouTube channel are required to enter this project.
    • The contents, entry requirements, award contents are subject to change or be canceled at any time without prior notice to the participants. We are not liable for any losses incurred by said changes.
    • We cannot answer individual inquiries regarding the standards for judging awards and the award results.
  2. Video Requirements
    • If a third party claims copyright infringement on the submitted video’s contents, the entrant is solely responsible for settling any claims. The contest host cannot be held liable.
    • Our company may without prior notice to the participant use the submitted video without charge for promotional materials and websites made by the contest host.
    • If the submitted entry or any registered information is found to: have falsified information; infringe on the copyrights of a third party; have content contrary to public morals, etc; or the contest host finds any other reason to deem the entry inappropriate, entry permissions will be revoked.
  3. License of Entry Video
    • By submitting a video to this project, the participant grants to the contest host a license (no restriction on region or time period; no charge; sublicensing permitted) to the video.
    • Participant guarantees that participant has all of the necessary rights to grant the above license; the license will persist even after the entry video may be deleted or unpublished, or if the participant’s Google account is deleted, etc.
    • Participant guarantees that they will not exercise any rights against the use of the entry video by the contest host. The entry video may be modified by the contest hosts for any use case without the consent of the participant.
    • The YouTube channel name of the participant may be displayed together with the entry video for promotional uses.
    • The title of the entry video may be abbreviated without prior notice to the participant.
    • Any changes made to the entry video such as edits, changes to the video title or channel name, will not be reflected at the time of the awards.
    • The rights to the award may not be transferred, and the awards may not be returned or resold.
  4. Handling of Personal Information
    • Participants whose entry videos which receive an award will be contacted by the contest host via the email address in the entry form, or the contact information displayed on the YouTube channel of the participant. Please be sure that you are able to receive notifications from the contest host.
    • Personal information submitted by the participant will be obtained and managed by Crypton Future Media, INC., and used only for the purposes of this project. Unless directed by law or court order, personal information will not be shared to a third party without the consent of the participant. For more information, please see our privacy policy.
  5. Disclaimers
    • The participant is to enter this project on their own responsibility. This project may without prior notice temporarily be inaccessible or may be canceled at any time for reasons such as system maintenance. We are not liable for any damages incurred either directly or indirectly by the participation to or the inability to participate in this project.
    • If a third party claims infringement of copyright or any other right by the participant’s submitted video, participant is to resolve the matter without involving or causing damage to our company.
    • If our company is liable for default or is liable for illegal actions against the participant, our company is not liable for lost profits or damages from any special reason, and will only be held liable for the damages incurred within reasonable, direct, and realistic parameters. However, if our company is found to have acted in bad faith or gross negligence, this will not be the case.
  6. Jurisdiction
    • Any disputes between our company and the participant regarding these terms and conditions will be governed by and construed under the laws of Japan, and any actions or proceedings will be heard in the Tokyo District Courts. The original text of these terms and conditions is provided in Japanese, and interpretations of the Japanese text shall take precedence over any translations. This English translation of the terms and conditions is provided for reference purposes only.

    The user is to download these assets on their own liability. This project may pause or be canceled without prior notice due to system maintenance or any other reason.
