“SYNCHRONICITY 2020” is a new content experiment during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 that synchronizes music playing from user’s smartphones to the lights and effects that are already installed in the city.

How to Participate
During the event dates, when you press the “Participate” button on the bottom of the page, a lyric animation of a Hatsune Miku song will be played (for about 15min). When you play it at the main venue, Sapporo Kita 3jo Plaza “AKAPLA”, the music will synchronize to the surroundings and you can enjoy the performance of the whole city.
*Please use earphones to enjoy the music.
*The lyric animation is made by using the production support service called “TextAlive”, which allows the creation of animations that are synchronized with corresponding music by using songs that are published on the web.
*Please note that there might be a delay in synchronizing music and animation depending on your connection or browsing environment (smartphones or PCs).
*Due to the sync processing, music and animation may be played frame-by-frame at the beginning. In case that happens, please wait a moment.
*When you would like to stop the lyric animation, please close the browser.
VR Experience
The VR contents are linked to the real events, and you can see Hatsune Miku singing at the "SYNCHRONICITY 2020" virtual venue. The virtual venue is modeled on the real venue surroundings. Please enjoy the "synchronization of music and city".

Hatsune Miku is music software developed by Crypton Future Media, INC., and it enables anyone to make the computer sing by entering lyrics and melodies. As a massive number of users created music using the software and posted their works on the Internet, Hatsune Miku quickly evolved into a cultural phenomenon. Moreover, Hatsune Miku has gained much attention as a character, involved in many fields such as merchandising and live performance as a virtual singer. Now her popularity has spread across the globe.
